The Travis County Attorney's Office offers information on County Attorney and District Attorney hot check collection and prosecution, including the difference between an issuance charge and a theft charge, different types of checks, instructions for filing, tips for merchants, and downloadable forms.
Central Texas Lawer Referral and Reduced-Fee Services
The Lawyer Referral Service of Central Texas offers referrals in Bastrop, Hays, Travis, and Williamson Counties by phone or online form. Initial consultations for a small fee are also available. Information about working with a lawyer and types of law is provided. Limited Scope Representation provides help from a lawyer on specific parts of a case for self-represented parties.
