Travis County Hot Check Collection
The Travis County Attorney's Office offers information on County Attorney and District Attorney hot check collection and prosecution, including the difference between an issuance charge and a theft charge, different types of checks, instructions for filing, tips for merchants, and downloadable forms.
Central Texas Lawer Referral and Reduced-Fee Services
The Lawyer Referral Service of Central Texas offers referrals in Bastrop, Hays, Travis, and Williamson Counties by phone or online form. Initial consultations for a small fee are also available. Information about working with a lawyer and types of law is provided. Limited Scope Representation provides help from a lawyer on specific parts of a case for self-represented parties. The Match Program offers reduced fee services for low-income clients.
